Black cardamom pods are significantly larger than green cardamom, featuring thick, dark-brown wrinkled skin with prominent vertical ribs. The traditional slow-drying process over wood smoke imparts an unmistakable rustic smokiness layered over pine and camphor notes. Supplied as whole intact pods or extracted inner seeds.
